You saw a chandelier in a hotel, in a film, on Pinterest — it can be recreated. How artisans design a light for your ceiling height and room volume, and what it's made of: porcelain, Swarovski crystals, fibre optics.
The story almost always starts the same way: a photograph. A chandelier from a hotel lobby, a frame from a film, a saved image whose author can no longer be traced. Finding that light for sale is usually impossible — but it can be made. Reproduction from a reference is a standard part of the work for artisans who build chandeliers by hand.
Why "the same one" can't simply be copied
The chandelier in your photo hung in a specific space: under its own ceiling height, in its own volume, in its own light. Transplanted into another room without adaptation, it will either crush the space or vanish into it. So what gets reproduced from a reference is the light's character — the form, the material, the feeling — while the size, proportions and light engineering are designed anew for your room.
Every chandelier is calculated for a specific ceiling height, room volume and lighting conditions. That's what separates a piece made for a project from buying a light that "looks about right".
Materials
Handcraft removes the limits of a catalogue — the light is built from whatever the idea demands:
- Natural porcelain — for sculptural forms: petals, branches, organic shapes that mass production cannot cast
- Swarovski crystals — the classic play of light, in a contemporary or traditional composition
- Fibre-optic elements — light where no lamp can be: rain of light, scattered points, effects out of reach for conventional fittings
Size and configuration are open: from an intimate piece above a dining table to a composition filling the atrium of a private house. Colour temperature is set to the interior — warm gold for classical rooms, neutral white for contemporary spaces.
How the project runs
You send the reference and the room's parameters — from there it proceeds like any commissioned piece: a sketch and approval of the look, design for your ceiling and volume, handcrafting, installation. A chandelier of this class involves weight, wiring and precise suspension, so the installation is ours — not a classifieds electrician's.
If we're running the renovation too, the light is built into the project from the start: structural provisions for the weight, the power feed, lighting scenes in the smart home system.
Start with a photograph
Send the reference on WhatsApp — poor quality is fine, a frame from a video is fine. We'll tell you how it can be recreated, in which materials, and how the light will sit in your space.
